Niagara Bound: Rope Bondage You Can Use

Niagara Bound is a new(ish) group that can help you graduate from tying shoes, to tying up sexy people and having your way with them (consensually of course)!  Over the course of a year crazy4rope and KnottyDragon lead the class from one tie and technique to another, and the turn out so far has been great!

“As I explored FetLife and attended events, I found myself increasingly drawn to the look and technique of how Rope Bondage worked. I knew then that I had to pursue my interest and as soon as had the rope in my hands, I knew this was my calling,” says crazy4rope.

The inspiration for starting the group came from his intense love of rope, and was born out of necessity after the previous rope group (Shibari Niagara) decided to stop holding meetings.  Asked about why he co-founded Niagara Bound, crazy4rope responded “I wanted to have somewhere to practice and learn, so I pitched my idea to KnottyDragon who, in past conversations, mentioned the lack of rope events in this area as well. From there we had a brainstorming session with Lady-Sefira and GenieConfined, to iron out the details and class structure and then with encouragement, enthusiasm, and support from KnotNice, Niagara Bound was born!”

Niagara Bound meets 10 months out of the year, and is designed to build upon some of the ties taught in previous months. However, if you’re new you’ll still be able to join in! KnottyDragon and crazy4rope do a great job at instructing, and spend their time helping the attendees perfect the ties they are learning. Everyone attending has varying levels of rope bondage experience, and the demonstrative and cooperative nature of the event means that everyone can get involved and take something useful away with them.

So what style of rope bondage will you learn at Niagara Bound? crazy4rope says the answer to that is, “Anything that people want to learn! We want to show  people what they want to see, from harnesses to hair ties – we want to share what we know.”

“We are not rope experts, but we are rope lovers!  As I said previously, I’ve always been drawn to rope. KnotNice has been my main resource for learning and I can’t thank him enough. Learning rope bondage comes down to hours reading, watching, and practicing. I believe all of that has helped me in my advancement,” crazy4rope responded when asked what resources have been most instrumental in his rope bondage adventure.

Niagara Bound meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month (10 months a year) and posts their event announcements in Niagara Kinksters on FetLife, as well as in their own group. There is a $5 fee to attend Niagara Bound, which is donated to the venue.
